This was the month when Quo left the practice room and did its first three public performances! We performed two concerts to support local commemorative events for the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One. On Saturday 10th we did a series of Works War One medleys in the Village Hall where the New Quorndon Shakespeare Company performed a re-enactment of a wartime field hospital dressing station. On Sunday 11th we performed in Rawins Academy as part of the village Thankfulness Lunch commemorative event.
On Saturday 24th November we played a few short sets of popular music at the Blacksmiths Arms, Quorn coffee and cake event to support their fundraising efforts for Dementia UK. £610 was raised.
With our our matching sweatshirts, music stands, stand covers, business cards, Facebook Group and website we are ready as Christmas approaches to take our music to the wider-world (well, into the Soar Valley, anyway)
